Nevada Adult Educators to Hold Open Forum at AAACE Conference, November 7

NAE Logo

Hello Adult Education Colleagues:

As you may already know, the Nevada Adult Educators (NAE) organization is a professional organization representing the interests of Nevada’s adult educators.  The primary purpose for NAE is professional development with a secondary focus of advocacy.  NAE is partnering with the American  Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) for their annual conference that is being held here in Las Vegas beginning 5 November 2012.   The AAACE conference is being held at the Rio.   On Wednesday, 7 November 2012, from 4 – 5:30 PM the NAE will be conducting an open forum for NAE members and others interested in adult education in Nevada.  I am inviting and encouraging you to attend.  As the president for NAE, I am hopeful that together we can use this time to explore the following two important items:

Identifying professional development opportunities that will further enhance your work as an adult educator

Discuss advocacy strategies that NAE can implement as we prepare for our bi-annual legislative session.  This could be critical for the future of adult education as we now know it.

Please mark your calendar and plan to meet with us at the Rio on the afternoon of Wednesday, 7 November 2012 from 4 – 5:30 PM.  There is no cost for this and your participation is needed.

Thank you in advance considering this important opportunity to meet and network with other Nevada Adult Educators.

Bob Henry,

President, Nevada Adult Educators
