Nevada Adult Educators Scholarship for Adult Education Students

Scholarship Benefits
  • Up to $1000.00 (one thousand dollars) for tuition, room and board, or other education related expenses.
  • Opportunity to attend the Mountain Plains Adult Education Association Conference
Scholarship Conditions

NAE Scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, books, room and board, transportation or other specifically approved expenses. Payments may supplement, but not duplicate, benefits from other foundations, institutions, or organizations. To receive payments, a NAE Scholar must submit:

  • An acceptance of the scholarship;
  • Proof of enrollment in a post-secondary institution;
  • A statement of eligible expenses.

*NAE may withhold or terminate a scholarship due to unsatisfactory academic performance, withdrawal from enrollment, or failure to comply with any of the above conditions.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, students must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Must be an Adult Education graduate who has either received a Nevada Certificate of High School Equivalency or an Adult Standard High School Diploma within the state of Nevada.
  • Proof of enrollment in a post-secondary institution;

The application consists of:
  • An Adult Educator’s nomination letter;
  • An application form;
  • An 800-word essay on adult education and its impact on your life and goals;
  • A current official Nevada Certificate of High School Equivalency or Adult Standard High School Diploma transcript; and
  • Three letters of recommendation.
